KB Coffee Roasters

KB Coffee Roasters, founded in 2010 by Nick Piègay after returning from Australia, pioneered specialty coffee in Paris. Based at 53 Avenue Trudaine in Pigalle, they roast their own beans since 2015 and operate the Back in Black roastery café, serving seasonal coffees and Aussie-inspired hospitality.

About KB Coffee Roasters

KB Coffee Roasters (formerly KookaBoora) was born in 2010 when Australian‑inspired founder Nick Piègay opened one of Paris’s first third‑wave coffee shops near the Moulin Rouge. He wanted to bring the relaxed, quality‑focused café culture he experienced in Australia to his hometown and create a space for locals to discover specialty coffee. Over the years KB grew into a small roastery and café group. In 2015 they began roasting their own beans and later opened Back in Black, a roastery and café in the 11th arrondissement, where they roast seasonal coffees and supply their Pigalle café. KB continues to seek the best coffees through endless trials and tastings, sharing their passion with the community while keeping things fun and accessible.
