Panama
Panama's specialty coffee is renowned for its Geisha variety grown in the Boquete and Volcán regions at elevations of 1,400‑1,800 metres on the slopes of the Barú volcano, where cool mountain microclimates and rich volcanic soils produce exceptional beans. The Geisha and other varieties are meticulously handpicked and often processed with washed or natural methods, resulting in delicate cups with floral jasmine and bergamot aromas, tea‑like body and vibrant citrus or stone‑fruit notes. With limited production and small estate farms, Panama's high‑end coffees are among the most sought‑after and expensive in the world.
