About Pollard Coffee
Robin Pollard draws on multi-generational Midwestern agricultural roots and a hands-on ethos. She grew up on an Iowa farm and describes carrying a "walk the beans" philosophy through her work. She established Pollard Per Se in 2012 and launched Pollard Coffee, teaching herself to roast and focusing on varietal and regional differences to highlight each bean's best characteristics. The roastery's agricultural background informs its artisanal approach. The business operates from Vashon Island and lists a Vashon address with operations noted as "Open by appt only," while coffee and merchandise are offered through the site.
