About Cloud Picker Coffee Roasters
Cloud Picker Coffee Roasters was established in 2013 by Frank Kavanagh and Peter Sztal, who had backgrounds in graphic design and corporate banking. The name came from a trip to Northern Thailand’s Doi Chang region on the Thai–Burma border, where they hiked up through the clouds to meet coffee pickers. Inspired by that journey, they returned to Dublin and set up the city’s first micro roastery. They roast small batches to order at their roastery in Crumlin, sourcing beans directly from trusted importers and producers to highlight unique flavours. Their mission is to bring people and specialty coffee together through enjoyment, teaching without preaching and encouraging curiosity. The company runs a café on Pearse Street and airport kiosks, uses an electric delivery fleet, produces compostable pods and has become a certified B Corp.
