Bean in Progress

Bean in Progress is a micro roastery and specialty café in Basel that was built by a team with more than eight years of coffee experience and has been roasting under its own brand since about 2020. Their philosophy is simple: go for progress, not perfection. They believe the best coffee doesn't exist, so they keep their beans and methods constantly evolving and focus on sourcing and roasting to provide high‑quality coffee. This approach is reflected not just in their beans but also in their service. The independent roastery operates a café and showroom at Rebgasse 1 on Claraplatz, where it roasts and sells its own coffees. Inspired by the coffee cultures of Copenhagen and Tokyo, the team has been dedicated to the craft of roasting since 2020. Visitors can enjoy pour‑over filter coffee, espresso drinks, croissants, cakes and snacks in a stylish minimalist space while experiencing the brand’s commitment to progress and craftsmanship.
