Wasatch Roasting Company

Wasatch Roasting Company’s story began in early 2016 during a family vacation to Costa Rica. In the hills of Santa Teresa, Darren and Tonya Blackford were enchanted by the smells and tastes of a small local roaster. When they returned home with suitcases of coffee, they read, learned and practiced roasting until they could replicate that magic. What started in the Blackfords’ garage has grown into a beautiful shop in downtown Ogden, Utah where they roast specialty grade beans in-house and brew them using various methods to bring out the best flavors. Located on Grant Avenue just off Historic 25th Street, the café also serves as a community hub: they feature local artists, host an aerosol art gallery on the patio and participate in local events like the Ogden Art Stroll and Farmers Market. Their ‘Buy Local’ ethos guides everything they do.
