About Prodigal
Prodigal Coffee was conceived by renowned coffee consultant and author Scott Rao and chef‑turned‑roaster Mark Benedetto after they met at the SCA Expo in 2017. Rao has spent three decades owning cafés, roasting, consulting and writing influential books that shaped the roasting lexicon, while Benedetto ran Last Stand Coffee, roasting for San Francisco tech offices ([Prodigal Coffee](https://getprodigal.com/#:~:text=Prodigal%20Coffee%20,)). In 2021 the pair launched Prodigal Coffee in Boulder, Colorado with the aim of offering beautiful, clean, light roasts. They roast in small batches using strict quality‑control protocols and sell via subscription, focusing on lightly roasted, fruit‑forward coffees ([Prodigal Coffee (@getprodigalcoffee) • Instagram photos and videos](https://www.instagram.com/getprodigalcoffee/?hl=en#:~:text=Prodigal%20Coffee%20,%F0%9F%8F%94%EF%B8%8F%20in%20Boulder%2C%20CO%2C%20USA%E2%80%9D), [Where in the world can you find @getprodigalcoffee coffee?
