Glen Lyon Coffee Roasters

Glen Lyon Coffee was set up in 2011 by Fiona Grant in a bothy in Highland Perthshire. From small-batch roasts sold at farmers’ markets the business grew and in 2014 moved to Aberfeldy where they invested in larger Probat roasters and began expanding their team and wholesale relationships. Today they are a small team (around ten) and are B Corp certified, roasting seasonal, traceable speciality coffees in small batches. Final decisions on coffees are made by an in-house sensory professional and Q Grader; the company emphasises traceable, ethically produced coffee and direct relationships with producers. The roastery is a public space with on-site roasting using Probat roasters and a roastery café open Monday–Friday for freshly roasted speciality coffee, pastries and community events. The business also runs a Coffee Academy through Project Northern Lights and undertakes local environmental actions such as annual tree planting.
