About Four Barrel Coffee
Four Barrel is an independent, locally owned coffee roastery that operates a pair of cafes and is a partner in The Mill. They directly source almost all of the coffee they roast, traveling to producer regions (Latin America, Indonesia, East Africa) to build relationships that support quality of life for producers and high-quality coffee for their roastery. They emphasize improving lives across the coffee chain. Their roasting approach is old-fashioned and human-driven: they rely on highly trained people (not automated systems) to execute a roasting style that highlights the intrinsic qualities of each coffee—cleanness, sweetness, acidity and complexity.
