WAY Coffee Roasters is a Gent-based specialty coffee roaster and hospitality group founded in 2017. Built around a central roastery at Dok-Noord, WAY blends craft roasting, a plant-forward bakery and multiple neighborhood cafés across Ghent to deliver sustainably sourced, specialty-grade coffee and training.

About WAY Coffee Roasters
WAY began in 2017 when coffee consultant Charlene De Buysere partnered with Luk Thys and Ward to open a specialty coffee project at Dok-Noord. Drawing on Charlene’s competitive successes (including World Aeropress Champion) and a shared commitment to craft, the team developed a roastery and café network focused on quality and community. Over time WAY grew into an ecosystem combining the roastery, cafés, a plant-based bakery and training/academy offerings. The brand emphasizes specialty-grade beans, careful roasting, sustainability and local impact — each location contributing to a larger, integrated experience.
