About
Maria's gesha comes from San Vicente Yogondoy within the Sierra Sur region of Oaxaca. The farmers here are mostly indigenous Zapotec; many of them are under the age of 30 with young coffee trees as well. Though Maria's coffee is washed and only undergoes a short fermentation, it is quite fruit forward and tropical with a waxy, rose-like floral quality and a molasses-like sweetness.
