The Gatuya Coffee Factory is part of the New Murarandia Farmers Cooperative Society, which includes around 3,500 smallholder producers. Each farmer delivers coffee cherries to the factory.

Founded by artist‑roaster Gregory Kolsto in 2008, it pursues excellence through coffee with a "low‑brow/high‑quality" ethos, roasting small batches and offering mind‑opening coffee experiences.
