The Komothai estate is located 14 kilometers north of Nairobi. The volcanic soil contributes to the complexity and clarity of this coffee. Washing the coffee enhances its bright, fresh profile. The climate is perfect for slow ripening of the coffee cherries, resulting in more sweetness. All these factors together ensure that the SL varieties thrive well. The result is a sweet, complex, and fresh coffee with flavor notes of bergamot, cassis, and blackberry.
