Our second Guatemalan lot of the year is a red honey processed bourbon, from the esteemed Sanchez family and their farm Finca San José Ocaña. The high altitude increases the density of the coffee cherry, and provides for lower yields and higher quality. In the cup there's a lovely Braeburn apple tang, and lots of hedgerow fruit reminding us of blackberries. Underneath, a syrupy honey and vanilla sweetness supports this delicate, well balanced coffee.
