About
The Gatuya Washing Station is located in a valley between two hills near Kahuro, Muranga. The coffee beans are harvested when ripe, sorted, and depulped on the same day. They are fermented for 24-48 hours before being washed and soaked for 12-72 hours. The beans are then dried on raised beds. For the best flavor, it is recommended to let the coffee rest for 10 days after roasting and consume it within 5 weeks.
