This is a regional blend from producers in the Nariño region, at the highest coffee growing altitude in Colombia. The low temperature at this altitude creates a climate that is perfect for slow maturation of coffee cherries, developing a higher concentration of sugars. The soil in Nariño is extraordinarily rich in volcanic ash, contributing to healthy coffee trees and greater complexity in the cup.
