They source single-origin coffees (Brazil, Ethiopia, Mexico, etc.), roast in Barcelona, prioritize sustainability (100% compostable packaging; encourage reusable cups) and supply wholesale and retail customers.
About Slowmov
SlowMov was started in Barcelona in 2015 by François and Carmen; they describe themselves as people who like "good and simple things" and seek to avoid unnecessary artifice. They operate in specialty coffee—visiting producers at origin, selecting lots and roasting in Barcelona—and sell both to hospitality partners and directly to consumers. Sustainability is emphasised: they have reduced packaging (since 2018 coffee is sold in 100% compostable packs) and run a campaign encouraging customers to bring reusable cups. In addition to roasting and retail they work with partner cafés (listed on their Clients page) and provide services to hospitality customers.
