About
The Getuya Coffee Factory, founded in 1964, is managed by the Mwirua Farmers Cooperative Society. It processes cherries from 900 small producers in the surrounding agricultural lands. The coffee undergoes an immediate depulping and a fermentation process lasting 15 to 24 hours, followed by washing and careful drying on African beds.
