Seven Miles Coffee Roasters

Seven Miles Coffee Roasters is an Australian specialty roaster based in Manly Vale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Born as Belaroma Coffee in 1968 and rebranded in 2016, the company roasts coffee in Manly and Orange, supplies hundreds of cafes nationwide and champions sustainability and barista training.

About Seven Miles Coffee Roasters

Seven Miles Coffee Roasters traces its roots to 1968 when Ian Bersten founded Belaroma Coffee in the Sydney suburb of Roseville. The roastery moved to Manly Vale in 1979 to accommodate growing demand and in 2016 adopted the name Seven Miles, inspired by the old Manly Ferry slogan “seven miles from Sydney and a thousand miles from care.” From its Manly Vale headquarters on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Seven Miles roasts specialty blends and single origins for hundreds of cafés across Australia and operates additional roasting facilities in Orange, with micro ‑roasteries in Brisbane and Canberra. The company invests in barista training, quality assurance and sustainability, powering its roastery with rooftop solar panels, using compostable cups and repurposing coffee sacks for charity.
