About Red Bank Coffee Roasters

Former London lawyer Tom Prestwich fell in love with specialty coffee and founded Red Bank Coffee Roasters in 2015 in the Lake District village of Coniston before moving the roastery to Kendal. His goal was to make high‑quality coffee accessible and to share his passion for the unique flavours he discovered at Monmouth Coffee. Red Bank focuses on sourcing exceptional, highly traceable coffees from trusted producers around the world. Prestwich and his team build relationships with farmers and visit them regularly to understand their challenges and ensure fair, responsible sourcing. The roastery has achieved B Corporation certification, reflecting its commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Operating from Unit 12 at Boundary Bank in Kendal, the company roasts small batches and offers a curated selection of single origins and blends, including the flagship Penny Rock blend named after a scenic spot on the shores of Grasmere. Red Bank shares brewing advice and aims to educate customers while celebrating the Lake District’s heritage and community.
