About Glitch
Kiyokazu Suzuki discovered specialty coffee in his 20s and trained under Australian world barista champion Paul Bassett before opening Glitch Coffee & Roasters in Jimbocho in 2015. His goal was to revive Japan’s hand‑drip coffee culture and overturn the stereotype that coffee is always bitter. Glitch focuses on carefully selected single‑origin beans roasted lightly to showcase fruity, complex flavours. The shop offers more than ten varieties at any time and tailors brewing methods to each coffee, using hand‑drip or espresso. Committed to giving back to the farms and sharing Japanese coffee culture globally, Glitch has expanded beyond its original Jimbocho location to cafés in Akasaka and Nagoya. The roastery continues to inspire coffee lovers with its dedication to quality and its pursuit of the perfect cup.
