In 2011, Felipe Sardi & his wife, Elisa Madrinan, began La Palma y El Tucan, a coffee estate in Colombia’s Cundimarca region. Their goal was to grow high-quality coffee and provide opportunities to fellow Colombian coffee growers. They work with farmers to improve coffee quality and pay above-market prices. Their coffee is regularly used in high-level competitions.

Disciple Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roastery and cellar door in Brunswick, Melbourne. Founded by coffee veteran Marwin Shaw of Monk Bodhi Dharma, Disciple focuses on showcasing coffee growers' work through direct relationships, offering seasonally selected coffees served black to highlight their characteristics.
