The first release of the year is from Kenya! The Karimikui factory was established in 1966 and is now under the umbrella of the Rung'eto cooperative. Many small producers in this area grow tea instead of coffee, but the rich volcanic soil is suitable for coffee cultivation. The harvested cherries are processed and dried to develop a soft acidity and elegant aroma.

Dark Arts Coffee Japan is a specialty coffee roaster and café based in Hayama, Kanagawa, Japan. Founded as the Japanese offshoot of London's cult Dark Arts Coffee by Jacopo Cerisola in 2018, it roasts single-origin beans in-house and serves coffee in a quirky, bike-friendly café.
