Black Sheep Coffee Roasters opened its doors in 2015 with the simple goal of creating a space for good coffee, good people and real community. Born in Welland, Ontario, the roastery is run by husband‑and‑wife team Lucas Spinosa and Katie Milin, who along with their children have grown the business into a gathering place and roasting company that reflects the people who have supported it. Over the past decade, Black Sheep has expanded from a single café into a family enterprise that roasts specialty coffee and operates cafés in Welland and nearby Fenwick, steps from the Welland Canal. The main café boasts a 40‑foot multicoloured mural and serves house‑roasted coffee, fresh pastries and community‑driven events. The company continues to invest in better tools and experiences while staying true to its ethos of fostering community through coffee.
