80plus Specialty Coffee Roastery was founded in 2016 in Barcelona by Jordi Marcilla, a third‑generation member of one of Spain’s historic coffee‑roasting families. The brand emerged as an independent project of Agricola Marcilla to bring specialty coffee to the general public, building on a family legacy that created the famous Marcilla brand. The roastery’s goal is to open the world of specialty coffee to people who love gastronomy by offering approachable coffees with character and balanced flavours. 80plus emphasises traceability, sustainability and experimentation with roast profiles, working closely with farmers and providing trainings, tastings and courses in specialty coffee, sensory analysis and barista skills. They also consult on coffee equipment and collaborate with clients in the HoReCa sector.
