Woodberry Coffee Roasters began in 2012 when founder Koki Kihara opened a small roastery and café in Setagaya, Tokyo. Inspired by experiences abroad, Kihara wanted to show that coffee can be delicious and approachable rather than dark and smoky. The company sources high-quality, often natural processed beans from producers around the world and roasts them to highlight sweetness and clarity. They have since expanded to several cafés across Tokyo and offer workshops and events, sharing their passion for ethical sourcing and community.
