About Style Coffee
STYLE COFFEE is a small coffee stand in Kyoto, opened in April 2019 by owner‑barista Takumi Kurosu. After working for more than two years at Weekenders Coffee Tominokoji and honing his craft in Melbourne, Kurosu returned to Kyoto to create his own specialty coffee shop near the Imperial Palace. From the outset he offered only coffee, serving espresso‑based drinks and paper drip brews. At STYLE COFFEE the beans are roasted lightly to bring out their individuality. Light roasts yield fruity, sweet cups with complex acidity and a clean texture, but they can become sour if brewed incorrectly. By sharing brewing recipes and tips, the team hopes to help customers enjoy light”roasted coffee at home and elevate the enjoyment of coffee.
