About Sterling Coffee Roasters
Backporch Coffee Roasters began as a passion project, roasting coffee in a popcorn popper. Over time the hobby matured into an elegant craft, focused on ethically sourcing high-quality coffees from across the world and highlighting each bean’s unique flavor. Founder and roaster Dave Beach builds direct relationships with farmers in countries like El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia and Costa Rica. Backporch roasts on a fuel -efficient Falcon Loring roaster made in the USA, reducing fuel usage and emissions. After almost two decades, the company has grown to over 40 staff members, five cafés across Central Oregon, and a roasting and packaging facility, sharing their carefully roasted coffee throughout the Pacific Northwest.
