Reykjavik Roasters

Reykjavik Roasters, based in Reykjavík, Iceland, is a specialty coffee roaster and café. Founded in 2008 as Kaffismiðja Íslands and rebranded in 2013, they import high‑quality beans, roast them with care and brew them at their cafés at Kárastígur and Brautarholt for coffee lovers and themselves.

About Reykjavik Roasters

Reykjavik Roasters began in 2008 when they opened a café on Kárastígur under the name Kaffismiðja Íslands. After renovations in 2013 the business was renamed Reykjavik Roasters, and it remains based in downtown Reykjavík. Their concept is simple: import good beans, roast them with care and brew them to the best of their abilities for the enjoyment of themselves and all who appreciate great coffee. The company now operates cafés at Kárastígur 1 (101 Reykjavík) and Brautarholt 2 (105 Reykjavík) and is known for its minimalist spaces and high-quality coffee. One of the roaster’s owners trained at Copenhagen’s renowned The Coffee Collective, being the only non‑Danish person to do so.
