Rey Sol Coffee is a family-grown, single-origin Colombian-roasted coffee company bringing 100% microlot beans from the Ramirez family farm in Balboa, Risaralda, Colombia to cafes in New Jersey. They roast in-house, emphasize traditional farming techniques and fair treatment of workers, and serve fresh-baked pastries, brunch, lunch and merchandise in their Ridgewood and Morristown locations.
About Rey Sol Coffee
In 1966 Mr. Lisimaco Ramirez established Rey Sol Coffee Farms in Balboa, Risaralda, Colombia. For five generations the Ramirez family has cultivated, raised and cared for the single-origin beans they roast, using traditional techniques (honey processing, free-range animals, citrus trees) that help shape nuanced flavors. Their workers are treated as family, with fairness and respect. The business brings the family farm’s Alto del Rey mountain coffee straight to customers’ cups, roasted fresh in New Jersey cafes.
