About Relevant Coffee
Relevant Coffee began as a 425 -square foot quick‑service bar in Vancouver’s Uptown Village in early 2017. Founder and roaster Mitch Montgomery brought more than 16 years of coffee experience — including a decade of commercial roasting — to his own venture, aiming to build a brand around exceptional coffee rather than lending his skills to other companies. The warm embrace of the community encouraged him to expand. In May 2019 Relevant opened a larger café and roasting space in downtown Vancouver. The company describes itself as “Vancouver proud” and community‑focused, sourcing exceptional coffees from sustainable, quality‑driven farms around the world. It intends to provide a welcoming, transparent space for anyone seeking an honest specialty coffee experience and partners with local groups and wholesale customers to share its offerings.
