About Onda Origins
Paul and Scott Tupper founded Onda Origins to create a different coffee business centered on growers. The company highlights growers central role in coffee quality and fairness, pays higher-than-standard purchase prices and shares an additional $1 per pound back to growers, and focuses on building direct partnerships and community-centered specialty coffee. The name "Onda" means ripple or wave in Spanish and serves as a metaphor for how small actions can create bigger change. The founders prior development and coffee-related experiences and the partnership with Enrique Navarro helped shape the roasterys grower-focused model.
