This FTO and Bird Friendly certified lot originates from a large co-op of about 817 members, and represents the highest-quality selections from the many smallholder farmers who participate. Organic coffee farmers in Cajamarca prioritize sustainable agricultural practices and biodiversity that focus on bee-keeping, avocado farming, and overall environmental well-being. They employ techniques and education within the community such as technical assistance for production, argonomics, and financing, and scholarships for the women and children of the local families. This coffee has deep fruit notes that are reminiscent of fig and plum, with warm baked notes of bread pudding.
