Motivāt Coffee Roasters began as Collin and Carolyn Young’s side project, roasting tiny batches of beans with a popcorn popper and serving coffee at weddings, church events and community parties. The husband‑and‑wife team grew their venture into a roastery and catering company, driven by a love for coffee and community. From its base in Downtown Oakland, Motivāt operates a walk‑up window and coffee cart, roasting small batches of ethically sourced beans and building direct relationships with farmers. Their mission is to deliver joy through meticulously crafted coffees while supporting social responsibility and sharing handwritten notes with each drink. The company now offers catering, wholesale and community classes, bringing purpose and quality to every cup.
