After the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis, sisters Francine and Immaculée, the only survivors of their family, decided to build a new life in Nyamagabe, cultivating coffee. Their dedication led to producing one of the best coffees in the country, symbolizing resilience and rebirth after difficult times.

Libis – Coffee Roaster is a Spanish specialty coffee company founded in September 2020. Based in Alicante, they roast ethically sourced coffees with a focus on direct relationships and ensuring farmers benefit economically. They buy Colombian coffee directly from growers and work with importers sharing their values, and run a café‑roastery in Madrid.
