The Uraga washing station receives cherries from local farmers and is located in Guji, a coffee-producing region known for its unique microclimate. The farmers use traditional methods and often interplant coffee with food crops. The cherries are handpicked and undergo anaerobic fermentation for 18 to 24 hours before being sun-dried.
