Flywheel Coffee Roasters is a family‑owned specialty coffee roaster and cafe based in San Francisco’s Haight‑Ashbury neighborhood. Founded by lifelong coffee veteran Aquiles Guerrero and his family, Flywheel roasts ethically sourced single‑origin beans and serves handcrafted drinks at their Haight and Battery Street cafes.
About Flywheel Coffee Roasters
Founder Aquiles Guerrero was born on a Nicaraguan coffee farm, became a barista at 12 and a roaster at 18 before moving to San Francisco. After working at his family's Martha & Bros. Coffee, he and his wife Marissa opened Flywheel Coffee Roasters in a former bike shop in the Haight‑Ashbury, creating a community hub for locals, tech workers and visitors. Flywheel is driven by a belief that coffee should be transparent, intentional and personal. The family sources high‑quality single‑origin beans from trusted growers through ethical relationships and roasts them in‑house. Today they operate their flagship cafe at 672 Stanyan Street and a Financial District location on Battery Street, sharing their passion for coffee and hospitality.
