About DoceCuarenta Coffee Roasters

DoceCuarenta began in February 2014 as a small coffee bar inside the GotBaja store in downtown La Paz. Armed with a small espresso machine and pastries baked by founder Enrique’s mother, the dream took shape. In 2015 they introduced one of Baja Sur’s first cold brews. By 2017 the team had acquired their first roaster and forged direct relationships with producers such as Samuel Ronzón. October 2018 saw the opening of their first branch at Marina Puerta Cortés. Subsequent trips to coffee farms in Veracruz deepened their social and environmental commitment and even inspired a community mural in Cosautlán. The flagship café in Todos Santos opened in December 2019, followed by a memorable concert with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones in early 2020. They expanded into Cabo San Lucas in May 2021 and celebrated a decade of community‑driven coffee in 2024, unveiling new packaging and reaffirming their mission.
