About Chrome Yellow
Husband-and-wife duo Kyle and Kelly Taylor began Chrome Yellow as a pop‑up in 2013 before opening their permanent shop in 2015 in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward. The name references Aldous Huxley’s novel "Crome Yellow" and reflects their desire to create a gathering place for intentional conversation and creativity. The space combines a coffee bar and dry-goods shop with a minimalist aesthetic and plenty of natural light. They roast small batches of ethically sourced beans on a Loring S7 in a roastery adjacent to the café, focusing on clean, origin-driven coffee profiles. Chrome Yellow has become a cultural hub in Atlanta, offering espresso and pour-over drinks and serving as a welcoming space for community members and creatives.
