About Carta Coffee Merchants
If the bean isnt exceptional, then the coffee wont be either. At Carta Coffee, care begins with nurturing the soil, plants and cherriesdrawing on farming and viticulture experience to craft small-batch 100% Kona coffee. They source from their own Nolyssa Farm, a mixed-elevation 6-acre property in Kealakekua, and from select small, sustainably-minded Kona farms, producing hand-harvested coffees that reflect Konas flavors and culture. Founder Scott Burr came from three generations of grape growers and winemakers, studied enology and food science, and after years advising vineyards he relocated to Kona. Scott rehabilitated an overgrown 6-acre farm (now Nolyssa Farm) and completed the first harvest in 2015, shaping Cartas focus on terroir, farming care and sensory-driven coffee experiences.
