About Baristart Coffee
Baristart Coffee began in June 2015 as a simple coffee stand in Sapporo, Hokkaido, with the mission of sharing the unique qualities of Hokkaido milk and its connection to coffee. The café sources BIEI Jersey Milk from Brown Jersey cows—only around 800 exist in Japan—and uses it to craft lattes, desserts and savoury dishes, pairing rich, creamy milk with high‑quality beans and ingredients. Over the years, Baristart has evolved into a lifestyle café and roastery with locations across Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. They pride themselves on uncompromising quality, importing Hokkaido produce and showcasing the flavour of Hokkaido in every cup and dish. The concept merges barista craft with milk connoisseurship, reflecting the passion of founder and milk expert Yuki Takeuchi.
