Amor Perfecto

Amor Perfecto began in 1997 in Bogotá as a small gift shop selling home‑roasted coffee. Founded by Luis Fernando Vélez, it set out to offer Colombians the best coffee from their own country and to challenge the export‑first model by roasting at origin. Over the decades the company has become a pioneer and educator in Colombian specialty coffee, forging direct relationships with farmers and baristas and winning awards such as Cup of Excellence. It sources beans from women‑led farms and celebrates Colombia’s diversity through lines like Insignia and collaborations such as the Frida Kahlo series. The company operates experience centres and cafés in Bogotá, Medellín and Barranquilla, and exports fresh‑roasted coffee worldwide. Its mission remains to bridge the gap between producers and consumers, advocating for coffee roasted at origin and championing sustainable practices.
